HIGH-DENSITY POLYETHYLENE (HDPE) or POLYETHYLENE HIGH-DENSITY (PEHD) is a polyethylene thermoplastic made from petroleum. It is sometimes called “alkathene” or “polythene” when used for pipes.
HDPE is one of the most commonly used plastics in the chemical industries.HDPE plastic has several properties that make it ideal as a packaging and manufacturing product. It stronger than standard polyethylene, acts as an effective barrier against moisture and remains solid at room temperature. It resists insects, rot and other chemicals. HDPE creates no harmful emissions during its production or during its use by the consumer. Also, HDPE leaks no toxic chemicals into the soil or water.
PP(Polypropylene), also known as polypropene, is a thermoplastic polymer possesses a good balance of properties that can be tailored to a wide range of production processes and applications in chemical process. Polypropylene has also been the material of choice to replace tanks and other vessels fabricated from specialty metals such as stainless steel because of reduced original cost and long term cost savings benefits over the life of the equipment.
